These topics are discussed, and through projects and group work students will develop a creative aptitude, a strong background in computer and technology applications, a strong academic foundation and a proficiency in oral and written communication.
Audio/Video Production I (30C211)

Prerequisite: Principles of Arts, Audio/Video Technology & Communications
This course emphasizes: Developing an understanding of the industry with a focus on pre-production, post-production audio and live audio and video technical skills and concepts. Instruction will include operation of different types of cameras, audio techniques and equipment, electronic editing, graphics for TV, lighting and lighting control consoles, script writing, direction, production, and leadership training.
Audio/Video Production II (30C222)
Grades: 11-12 Length: 1 year Credit: 2 GPA weight: 1.1
Prerequisite: Audio/Video Production I
This course emphasizes: Providing an advanced understanding of career opportunities, training requirements and skills needed to pursue a career in Audio and Video Production. Students will continue developing their skills in operating cameras, electronic editing, producing, directing and writing for television/film. Working in this industry, students will be expected to have good communication and leadership skills. This is something that we will incorporate into our projects.
Practicum in Audio/Video Production (30C922)

Prerequisite: Audio/Video Production II
This course emphasizes: A capstone for students participating in a coherent sequence of career and technical education courses in the field of Audio/Video Production.
